ICERMS has conducted several EIA in the UK for different waste management developments. It has worked closely with planning authorities on different aspects of planning law and the interface between planning and environmental regulation.
In an international context ICERMS has provided expertise on Environmental Impact Assessment to the Council of Europe Development Bank and the European Investment bank through the Western Balkans Infrastructure Projects Facility and as a subcontractor to both COWI and WYG.
ICERMS has applied the EIA process to a number of infrastructure projects in the Balkans most notably in Bosnia & Herzegovina; Croatia; Albania & Serbia. In these Balkan nations there was a lack of EIA legislation and the investment banks were insistent that an EU standard of EIA process was applied to the infrastructure project they had agreed, in principle, to invest in.
